Segway as electric wheelchair! Yes, sir!

Nice modification of the Segway done by spanish designer Josep Mora from Barcelona! Among modifications there is obviously an added seat, a hand break to keep the vehicle standing on its own when stopped, a folding handle bar and a folding ramp to put the vehicle in the car's trunk.

By time of this writing this is not endorsed by Segway, neither has the company commented to our question regarding possile future models for handicaped.

Eye to eye - even on wheelchair?

Wheelstand - although the name sounds a bit unsound - could be the next big thing for all disastanding electric wheelchair prototypebled, who crave for seeing the world from stand-up position, allowing them to have an eye-to-eye conversation once again… The wheels underneath perform the same function as those of a wheelchair. The legs are held in place, so no awkward buckling takes place. The wheels can be held in place, so no unplanned rolling occurs. The entire effect is a liberating one for those confined to a life of sitting down.
