Maintenance is important for proper operation and safety of the user. The recommended schedule for maintenance is following:
- Daily
- Battery recharging
- Weekly (or at least biweekly)
- General operation
- Tightness of axle bolts
- Tire pressure
- Battery recharging (if wheelchair was not used daily)
- Monthly
- Back and seats
- Arms
- Front riggings
- Rear wheels
- Front casters
- Wheel locks
- Battery maintenance (wet)
- Cushions
- Basic cleaning
- 6 Months
- Frame/cross brace
- All welded joints
- Lube bearings
- Lube center pin
- Lube rear axle
- Yearly
- Battery inspection / replacement
- The entire wheelchair should be checked, serviced and cleaned by the dealer.
